Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern/Central MO and Southwest IL
National Weather Service Saint Louis MO
441 AM CDT Mon Aug 4 2025

Seasonably cool conditions will persist through today and Tuesday
along with increasing humidity and scattered showers and
thunderstorms, mainly during the afternoon in south-
central/southwestern IL. Minimum afternoon RH will fall to
between 45 and 60 percent, closer to 70 to 80 percent in portions
of IL today where temperatures are coolest. Otherwise, light
winds and seasonably high mixing heights will result in poor
ventilation rates. There will be a gradual warming trend through
the week with more typical summer temperatures and humidity
returning during the second half of the week.
