Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern/Central MO and Southwest IL
National Weather Service Saint Louis MO
621 AM CDT Mon Sep 1 2025

Rain chances will be fairly low through Tuesday, and what little
rain (less than 0.10 inches) that does fall will be relegated to
the Ozarks and central Missouri. Most, however, will see a dry
and seasonably cool next few days. Despite this, cooler
temperatures aloft will allow for deep mixing through mid-week.
Ventilation rates will still be poor due to weak transport winds.
Wednesday will see a quick warmup, which deepens mixing even
further and improves ventilation rates. This is short lived, as a
cold front will bring higher CWRs and much cooler and drier air
to the region. Behind the front, minimum RH values will hover in
the 35-45% range with little to no rain chances through early
next week.
