...The National Weather Service in St Louis has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Missouri...
Meramec River near Sullivan.
Big River at Byrnesville.
Meramec River near Steelville.
Meramec River near Eureka.
Meramec River at Pacific.
Meramec River at Valley Park.
Bourbeuse River at Union.
Meramec River near Arnold.
Meramec River at Fenton.
River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast
precipitation for the next 24 hours.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Rainfall heavier than forecast could cause river levels to rise even
higher than predicted. The National Weather Service will monitor
this developing situation and issue follow up statements as
conditions change.

* WHERE...Meramec River near Sullivan.
* WHEN...From Friday evening to Thursday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 28.0 feet, Springer Road off of Sappington Bridge
Road begins flooding near this height.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:29 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 5.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late tomorrow evening to a crest of 28.5 feet early Sunday
afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early
Wednesday morning.
- Flood stage is 11.0 feet.

* WHEN...From late Friday night to Wednesday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 26.0 feet, Based on NWC stage-based categorical flood
inundation mapping, at this height water will begin flooding the
outfields of the 2 easternmost ball fields at the Northwest
Jefferson County Sports Complex.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:45 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 6.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
early Saturday morning to a crest of 26.9 feet early Monday
morning. It will then fall below flood stage late Tuesday
evening.
- Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 33.0 feet, Old Highway 141 is closed at Gravois Road
and at Gravois Bluffs Blvd. This impact level may vary depending
on the crest difference of the Mississippi River at St. Louis from
30.8 ft, the March 2008 crest.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:30 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 1.5 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
Saturday afternoon and continue rising to a crest of 33.5
feet Tuesday evening.
