...The National Weather Service in St Louis has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Missouri...Illinois...

  Mississippi River at Mel Price LD.

  Mississippi River near Herculaneum.

  Mississippi River at Alton.

  Mississippi River at St. Louis.

River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast
precipitation for the next 24 hours.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING TO MONDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Mississippi River at Mel Price LD.

* WHEN...From this evening to Monday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 23.0 feet, Dresser Island Drive floods within a foot
  of this level.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 11:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 20.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late
    this evening to a crest of 23.5 feet Thursday evening. It will
    then fall below flood stage late Sunday morning.
  - Flood stage is 21.0 feet.

MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Mississippi River near Herculaneum.

* WHEN...From Wednesday afternoon to Monday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 28.3 feet, Near this height, the walking trail
  (extension of Station Road) at Bates Memorial Park begins flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:30 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 22.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 28.4 feet Friday morning. It
    will then fall below flood stage early Sunday morning.
  - Flood stage is 26.0 feet.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT TO SUNDAY
MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Mississippi River at Alton.

* WHEN...From late Wednesday night to Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 21.7 feet, At this level, Highway 94 and the east end
  of Harbor Point Road off of Missouri Highway 94 north of West Alton
  begin flooding.  Also, the access road the Lincoln Shields
  recreation area off of U.S. Highway 367 just west of the Clark
  bridge begins flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 11:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 18.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early
    Thursday morning to a crest of 21.5 feet Thursday evening. It
    will then fall below flood stage early Saturday morning.
  - Flood stage is 21.0 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 31.9 feet, The entrance to the parking garage just
  north of Eads bridge begins flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 11:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 24.7 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early
    Thursday morning to a crest of 31.2 feet Friday morning. It will
    then fall below flood stage early Saturday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 30.0 feet.
