...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 615 PM CDT THIS EVENING...
...REPLACES FLASH FLOOD WARNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Illinois, including the
  following county, central Adams.

* WHEN...Until 615 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from
  earlier rainfall, particularly Mill Creek. It will take several
  hours for all the water from these storms to work through local
  drainage systems.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 457 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the warned area. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
    expected.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Quincy Regional Airport, Columbus, Fowler, Paloma.
  - This includes Interstate 172 between exits 14 and 19.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
