Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...

A 29.7 inch low over north-central Ontario will pull a 29.8 inch
trough through Lake Superior through this afternoon. As the low
shifts to the Ontario/Quebec line Tuesday night, high pressure of
30.3 inches builds over the Northern Plains. This high gradually
settles over the Great Lakes by Thursday morning. Friday, the high
moves to the southern portion of the Great Lakes while a 29.8 inch
low moves across northern Ontario. This low pulls a 29.9 inch trough
near eastern Lake Superior Friday afternoon. Saturday, high pressure
resumes over the Great Lakes before a weak 29.9 inch trough moves
into the Upper Great Lakes Saturday night.
