Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...

A 30.5 inch high over the Canadian Prairie builds into Lake Superior
today. This high shifts across the Great Lakes and northern Ontario
by Wednesday at around 30.4 inches. Ridging weakens to 30.1 inches
over Lake Superior through Thursday as troughing develops over the
Plains and the parent high moves east. Thursday night through
Friday, a deepening 29.4 inch low develops over the Northern Plains
and lifts near to Lake Winnipeg. This low is projected to bring 29.5
to 29.6 inch troughing over Lake Superior Saturday as the low
traverses northern Ontario. By Sunday afternoon, another low
develops over lower Michigan, then lifts north into Ontario and
Quebec into early Monday.
