Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS... High pressure of 30.5 inches over much of the
eastern U.S. will continue expanding westward through today. This
has brought ridging of 30.3 inches over eastern Lake Superior this
morning, with the ridging continuing until this evening. Weak
29.9 inch troughing skirts Lake Superior Sunday while a 29.6 inch
low organizes over Alberta before beginning its eastward push
Sunday night. This low moves through the Canadian Prairies Monday
before dragging troughing of around 29.7 inches over Lake Superior
Tuesday. A 30.3 inch high pressure approaches from the High
Plains Wednesday into Thursday, bringing ridging of at least 30.1
inches back over Lake Superior for the same time period.
