858 FZUS63 KMQT 070301 GLFLS Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior National Weather Service Marquette MI 1001 PM EST Thu Nov 6 2025 For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior. Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS... A 29.5 inch low over Minnesota this evening will move across Upper Michigan tonight to near Whitefish Bay at 29.3 inches by late Friday morning. Ridging will build over the lake this weekend as the low exits into Quebec and 30.6 inch high pressure develops over the Great Plains, with the ridge over the lake strengthening from 29.8 inches on Saturday to 30.2 inches through Sunday night. The ridge quickly breaks down early next week as a 29.4 inch trough sweeps across the lake on Tuesday.
