Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...

A 29.7 inch low just east of Lake Superior this morning moves toward
the St. Lawrence Seaway by this afternoon as it weakens to 29.8
inches. Afterwards, a much weaker low grazes the northeast portion
of the lake at 30.0 inches tonight into Wednesday. Remnant troughing
gradually weakens over the lake Thursday through Friday before
strong high pressure around 31.0 inches descending from the Canadian
Prairies brings ridging of around 30.6 inches back over Lake
Superior on Saturday.
