935 FZUS63 KMQT 280204 CCA GLFLS Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior...CORRECTED National Weather Service Marquette MI 1004 PM EDT Mon Apr 27 2026 For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior. Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS... A 29.4 inch low over the U.P. lifts into Lake Superior tonight as it deepens to 29.3 inches. The low exits the lake and reaches James Bay Tuesday afternoon while 30.1 inch high pressure continues over the Canadian Prairie. As the low continues departing to the northeast, the high builds to 30.2 inches while a 29.8 inch low expands over the Eastern Seaboard on Wednesday. By Thursday night, the 30.2 inch high spans from Hudson Bay to the Central Plains while the low pressure of now 29.6 inches is just off Cape Cod. High pressure ridging over Lake Superior reaches its zenith of 30.2 inches by Saturday, before a weak trough of around 29.8 inches passes through the lake Saturday night into Sunday.
