Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...

A 29.9 inch trough crossing the lake early this morning moves over
the Ontario/Quebec line tonight. Meanwhile, a 30.4 inch high moves
south from Lake Winnipeg today, extending ridging of at least 30.2
inches over the lake beginning late tonight. This high settles south
over the Upper Mississippi River Valley and Plains through Wednesday
ahead of a 29.4 inch low moving into Hudson Bay by Thursday morning.
This low pulls a 29.6 inch trough through Lake Superior Thursday
night followed by ridging of at least 30.3 inches by Friday night.
