Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...

Ridging will build over the lake this weekend and 30.6 inch high
pressure develops over the Great Plains, with the ridge over the
lake strengthening from 29.8 inches on Saturday to 30.2 inches
through Sunday night. The ridge quickly breaks down early next week
as a 29.4 inch trough sweeps across the lake Tuesday into Wednesday
morning. By Wednesday night the lake will be between 30.1 inch
ridging over the Plains and a deep 28.8 inch low over the Hudson Bay.
