Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...

A 29.9 inch trough draped over eastern Lake Superior this afternoon
will slide eastward into Ontario tonight. High pressure then builds
back to 30.1 inches over the Great Lakes by Saturday morning before
a weak 29.9 inch trough moves into the Upper Great Lakes Saturday
evening. This will be followed by weak 30.0 inch riding Sunday ahead
of a deeper 29.8 inch trough moving over the lake Monday. Ridging
builds to 30.2 inches over the lake Tuesday, giving way to height
falls into the middle of the week as a 29.3 inch low lifts off of the
Central Rockies.
