Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS... Early this morning, 29.5 inch low pressure is moving
through northern Quebec, with height rises over Lake Superior as
ridging builds from a 30.3 inch high pressure ridge centered over
the Plains. The ridge moves over Lake Superior today, building to
30.4 inches over Georgian Bay by Saturday morning. Throughout
Saturday, a 29.7 inch low over Kansas will approach the Upper
Great Lakes, reaching the Straits of Mackinac Sunday evening at
29.6 inches. On Monday, a 29.3 inch low moving over northern
Ontario will pass a 29.7 inch trough over Lake Superior. 30.1 inch
high pressure quickly follows behind the low over the Upper Great
Lakes Monday night, moving east to Quebec on Tuesday.
