Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...30.6 inch ridging over Lake Superior this morning
moves into New England by this evening as it weakens to 30.4
inches. Behind this ridge, a 29.6 inch trough sweeps across Lake
Superior Thursday, while a 30.4 inch ridge builds over the
Northern Plains Friday. On Saturday, a 29.7 inch low passes
toward the southern end of the Great Lakes region, extending weak
troughing over the lake. Ridging reinvigorates to 30.3 inches by
Sunday as a 30.5 inch high digs into the Upper Midwest.
