666 FZUS63 KMQT 242001 GLFLS Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior National Weather Service Marquette MI 401 PM EDT Mon Aug 24 2026 For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior. Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS... A 30.0 inch high pressure moves through the western Great Lakes today before building back to 30.1 inches over the Lower Peninsula of Michigan by Tuesday morning. Meanwhile, 29.7 inch Clipper low pressure over Saskatchewan this afternoon moves across southern Manitoba on Tuesday as it weakens to 29.8 inches. This Clipper moves over Lake Superior by Wednesday morning before lifting away towards James Bay and northern Quebec Wednesday night into Thursday morning. 30.1 inch high pressure ridging returns to Lake Superior by Friday afternoon, building to 30.2 inches over the Lower Great Lakes for Saturday.
