Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...

Weak ridging around 30.0 inches lingers over Lake Superior this
morning. Then, pressure falls to around 29.9 inches over the lake by
this afternoon as 30.2 inch high pressure moves off the Mid Atlantic
coast and 29.5 inch troughing over the Rockies deepens to 29.4
inches over the Northern Plains. Pressure over the lake continues to
deepen to around 29.5 inches through Wednesday as the low tracks
northeast along the Manitoba/Ontario line at 29.3 inches by
Wednesday evening. Pressure holds to around 29.6 inches over Lake
Superior through the end of the week as another Colorado low lifts
into the Upper Great Lakes at around 29.5 inches late Thursday. Weak
ridging of 30.0 inches could return to Lake Superior by the end of
the day Saturday.
