Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...

Today, Lake Superior is between a 30.1 inch high extending across
the East Coast and a 29.5 inch low over Hudson Bay. A 29.8 inch
trough extending from the Hudson Bay low moves through western Lake
Superior this evening. Broad, weak ridging over the Great Lakes
basin builds back to near 30.0 inches inches for Sunday before a
weak 29.9 inch trough moves through the Lake Sunday night into
Monday. A high pressure near 30.3 inches builds over the Canadian
Prairies on Tuesday, bringing 30.1 inch ridging back over Lake
Superior beginning Monday night. The high will approach the western
arm of the lake by Thursday morning into Friday.
