.DISCUSSION...
Onshore flow will strengthen for late this week and into this weekend,
bringing a cooling trend and increasing humidity. Seasonably
elevated fire-weather conditions are expected across the Antelope
Valley and Antelope Valley Foothills each day through this weekend,
as 15-30 mph south to southwest winds and higher gusts combine with
15-25 percent minimum relative humidity. While hot conditions with
high temperatures around 90-95 degrees are expected today, a cooling
trend will occur Friday through this weekend. Nevertheless, mixing
heights are expected to exceed 10,000 feet across interior areas
each afternoon for the next several days.
