.DISCUSSION...
Warmer and drier conditions through the weekend will continue to
bring the potential for vertical plume growth each afternoon and evening
through the weekend, as mixing heights continue to trend higher. The
onshore winds on Saturday and Sunday afternoon/evening will have
a more west to northwest direction and will be slightly stronger
than today, with gusts mostly in the 15 to 20 mph range, and slightly
higher across ridgetops. A shallower marine layer will prevent any
low clouds and fog from reaching the fire location through the
weekend. There is expected to be good humidity recovery overnight
but will continue to trend drier at night through the weekend.
After a slight cooling trend on Monday and Tuesday, the upper level
ridge of high pressure is expected to rebuild across Southwest
California, leading to some warming and drying Wednesday through
Friday, with the potential for minimum humidities to fall to
around 15 percent.
