.DISCUSSION...
Somewhat gusty west northwest winds will continue through around
2000 diminishing rapidly during the late evening hours as they shift
and become southwest overnight. Downslope/downvalley winds (mostly
SW to south) may become a factor late in the evening as well
(between 2200-0200). As temperatures fall, there will be modest
humidity recoveries to around 25 or 30 percent and mixing heights
will eventually fall to around 1000 feet overnight. Another hot and
dry afternoon is anticipated for Saturday, with afternoon
temperatures eventually climbing into the upper 90s...helping mixing
heights to climb to around 12,000 ft and potentially enhancing
vertical plume development once again. Modestly cooler temperatures
and increasing moisture will lead to slightly lower mixing heights
and increased min RH values closer to 20 percent Sunday afternoon.
