...Discussion from Monterey...

Seasonally cool temperatures, a deep marine layer, and onshore will
keep fire concerns minimal along the coast and lower elevations into
next week. Above the marine layer (approx. 2000 ft), weak offshore
flow/thermal belting and poor overnight humidity recoveries will
continue a low-end risk for fire weather across the East Bay Hills
and Santa Lucia Range.

Note : All winds are 20-foot Winds Unless otherwise specified.
Thunderstorms imply strong, gusty and erratic winds.

...Discussion from Los Angeles/Oxnard...

...SEASONABLY ELEVATED FIRE-WEATHER CONDITIONS THROUGH MONDAY FOR THE
ANTELOPE VALLEY AND THE ANTELOPE VALLEY FOOTHILLS...

...WIDESPREAD ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ACROSS INTERIOR
VALLEYS, MOUNTAINS, AND DESERTS TUESDAY INTO NEXT WEEKEND DUE TO
EXTENDED PERIOD OF HOT AND DRY CONDITIONS WITH ENHANCED RISK OF
LARGE VERTICAL PLUME GROWTH...

...ELEVATED TO BRIEF CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ACROSS
SOUTHWEST SANTA BARBARA COUNTY LATE AFTERNOON AND EVENING HOURS
FROM TUESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY DUE TO GUSTY SUNDOWNER WINDS WITH WARM
AND DRY CONDITIONS...

Moderate onshore flow and a marine layer influence near the coast
will bring near normal temperatures through Monday. While critical
fire-weather conditions are not anticipated, seasonably elevated
fire-weather conditions are expected to continue across the Antelope
Valley and the Antelope Valley foothills through Monday, as 15 to
30 mph winds and higher gusts combine with 15 to 25 percent minimum
relative humidity. Despite the cooling trend this weekend, mixing
heights are expected to exceed 10,000 feet across interior areas
each afternoon for the next several days. Some subtropical moisture
will bring a 5-10 percent chance of showers or thunderstorms to the
LA/Ventura county mountains and Central Coast Monday into Monday
night.

There will likely be another warm-up between Tuesday and next
weekend, which will likely require some heat advisories for the
interior. This hot and dry pattern combined with enhanced risk of
large vertical plume growth will bring an extended period of
elevated fire weather conditions across the interior Tuesday through
next weekend. In addition, warm and dry gusty sundowner winds will
bring elevated to brief critical fire weather conditions during the
late afternoon and evening hours from Tuesday through Thursday
across southwest Santa Barbara county.
