...Discussion from Monterey...

Fire weather concerns remain low with fuels below impact
thresholds. Warmer and drier air is expected through the weekend,
especially inland away from the marine layer influence. Our regional
extended outlook from the CPC indicates above normal chances for
precipitation and cooler temperatures for the last week of April.

Note : All winds are 20-foot Winds Unless otherwise specified.
Thunderstorms imply strong, gusty and erratic winds.

...WARMING AND DRYING WITH WEAK OFFSHORE FLOW SATURDAY, FOLLOWED BY THE
RETURN OF ONSHORE GUSTY WINDS ACROSS THE ANTELOPE VALLEY AND
MOUNTAINS...

Through tonight a deep moist layer above 4000 feet will keep
humidities tonight. High temperatures today will continue to be well
below normal, and gusty onshore winds will affect interior areas.
Gusts of 25 to 35 mph with isolated gusts to 40 mph in the Antelope
Valley and wind prone areas of the San Gabriel Mountains are
expected through this evening.

Temperatures will trend upwards for Saturday into next week. Light
offshore flow is expected Saturday morning and possible Sunday
morning, with gusts of 15 to 25 mph common. The change in flow will
lead to rapid drying, thus humidities of 15 to 25 percent are
expected be common across the valleys and mountains of Los Angeles
and Ventura Counties. Humidites will also fall back down to
8-15 percent across the Antelope Valley and highest peaks of the
mountains next weekend. By Sunday evening, onshore flow will
strengthening again, bringing about the return of gusty southwest
winds across the Antelope Valley and San Gabriel Mountains, that
are likely to increase each day. Gusts of 30-50 mph will be
possible by Wednesay or Thursday afternoon.
