Expecting quiet weather through the remainder of the week, other than overnight and early morning fog in the interior valley locations through Thursday. Light, offshore winds in the higher elevations will continue this week with warmer and drier weather expected as high pressure builds across the region. A pattern change remains likely this weekend into next week as an upper level trough brings cooler temperatures and gusty offshore winds. ERC charts show fuels drying out next weekend into next week but, given the recent rainfall over the past few weeks, fire weather concerns remain low. Note : All winds are 20-foot Winds Unless otherwise specified. Thunderstorms imply strong, gusty and erratic winds. ...Discussion from Los Angeles/Oxnard... ...GUSTY OFFSHORE WINDS WITH A WARMING AND DRYING TREND THROUGH TODAY THEN COOLER ON THURSDAY... A warming and drying trend will continue today as an upper level high pressure system lingers over the state. Gusty offshore winds will prevail this morning in the usual wind-prone areas of Ventura and Los Angeles Counties and over the Santa Lucia Mountains before diminishing some this afternoon, with local gusts up to 40 to 50 mph this morning. Although some more gusty winds are expected later tonight into Thursday morning, they will not be quite as strong or widespread as offshore gradients diminish. For today, temperatures will climb into the 70s to low 80s with humidities falling into the 20 to 30 percent range. Temperatures will be several degrees cooler on Thursday but minimum humidities will change little away from the coast. Dry weather will persist through Saturday, but there will be a chance of showers for southern areas sometime between late Sunday and Sunday night along with below normal temperatures. NOTE...Beginning Monday December 1, NWS WFO Los Angeles/Oxnard will enter the off-season fire weather schedule (one fire weather planning forecast issued by 330 PM Monday through Friday...and by 930 AM on Mondays and/or the first day following any federal holiday). However spot forecasts will be available upon request at any time 24/7. In addition, if critical fire weather conditions occur we will restore normal fire weather season operations. $$ ECC028-271100- Santa Barbara County excluding Los Padres National Forest- Discussion for Santa Barbara ECC Dispatch 855 AM PST Wed Nov 26 2025 ...GUSTY OFFSHORE WINDS WITH A WARMING AND DRYING TREND THROUGH TODAY THEN COOLER ON THURSDAY...
