Quiet weather continues with a well-formed marine layer in place.
Current marine layer depth holding steady between 1,200-1,500 feet
with poor humidity recovery in the thermal belts above about
2,000 feet. Breezy NW winds to 15-20 mph near gaps and passes during
the afternoons.

Note : All winds are 20-foot Winds Unless otherwise specified.
Thunderstorms imply strong, gusty and erratic winds.

COUNTY EACH AFTERNOON AND EVENING DUE TO GUSTY SUNDOWNER WINDS AND
DRY  CONDITIONS...

Seasonably elevated fire weather conditions will continue for
interior areas including the Antelope Valley and foothills through
at least this weekend. Gusty northwest winds will peak each
afternoon to evening focused across southwest Santa Barbara County
(Sundowners) but also extending into the interior mountains
including near the I-5 cooridor at times through this weekend. Peak
wind of 15 to 25 mph with gusts of 30 to locally 45 mph is expected
through Friday, with the potential to be 5 to 10 mph stronger this
weekend. The driest interior and high elevation  areas will continue
to experience min humidities of 8-15 percent with 30-50 percent in
windy areas of southwest Santa Barbara County through Thursday,
potentially lowering into this weekend.

Gradual warming and drying trends are likely through this weekend,
especially above an inland of a shallow marine layer. No monsoon
moisture is expected through at least this weekend.
