ERC values continue to be around or below the 50th percentile across our area. Nighttime RH recovery will be good from locations generally impacted by the marine layer through the end of the week, along with daytime highs at or slightly below normal. A gradual warming trend looks to set in for the weekend into the beginning of next week. Note : All winds are 20-foot Winds Unless otherwise specified. Thunderstorms imply strong, gusty and erratic winds. ...Discussion from Los Angeles/Oxnard... This afternoon and tomorrow afternoon there are lingering chances of mountains showers and thunderstorms. There is a 5-20% chance of precipitation across the highest elevation mountains of LA and Ventura Counties, with the greatest chances over the eastern San Gabriel Mountains this afternoon. There remains a small chance of dry lighting and gusty winds if a storm were to develop, which may result in a fire start and erratic fire behavior. The `June Gloom` deep marine layer will continue through Thursday, becoming shallowing Friday into the weekend with a gradual warming trend away from the immediate coast. Onshore flow will prevail, yielding gusty winds across the interior, especially the Antelope Valley and foothill during the afternoon and evening. Expect peak gusts of around 25 to 45 mph to be common. Lower humidities between 12 and 25 percent will affect the higher elevations, interior valleys and the Antelope Valley through the weekend, thus there will continue to be a persistent risk of grass fires. $$ ECC028-051630- Santa Barbara County excluding Los Padres National Forest- Discussion for Santa Barbara ECC Dispatch 329 PM PDT Wed Jun 4 2025 This afternoon and tomorrow afternoon there are lingering chances of mountains showers and thunderstorms.
