...Discussion from Monterey...

Cool and humid conditions prevail in the wake of a weak cold front.
A gradual warming trend will persist through mid week, with
low-elevation inland temperatures approaching 80 degrees by
Wednesday. Winds will stay mostly gentle to moderate through the
week, with strong onshore winds possible this weekend. The long
range forecasts continue to suggest the remainder of April will be
drier than normal, which may signal an early start to the dry
season.

Note : All winds are 20-foot Winds Unless otherwise specified.
Thunderstorms imply strong, gusty and erratic winds.

...WARMING TREND AND DRY WEATHER THROUGH THURSDAY THIS WEEK...

High temperatures will trend upwards a couple degrees tomorrow, with
highs in the 70s to low 80s common. A mini heatwave will last from
Wednesday through possibly Friday, with temperatures in the mid 80s
to mid 90s common Thursday. Minimum humidities between 20 to
30 percent will be widespread through the week, locally down to
10 to 15 percent for the driest valleys and deserts.

Northwest winds will be focused over the Santa Barbara Southwest
Coast and the Interstate 5 Corridor, where gusts of 30 to 45 mph
are expected this evening, and gusts of 25 to 35 mph are likely
Tuesday evening. Northeast gusts of 20 to 35 mph are expected
Wednesday morning and possibly Thursday morning, along the higher
terrain in San Luis Obispo County northern Santa Barbara County.

Winds will generally be fairly brief and localized, and considering
rising fuel moistures due to the recent rains, Red Flag Warnings
will not be needed. By the weekend, temperatures are expected to
drop to near normal and humidities will increase. Additionally,
there are no significant chances of rain through at least the
middle of April.
