Slight (up to 5%) chances for isolated thunderstorms continue in the North Bay through Saturday morning. Onshore flow reduces slightly through the weekend, compressing the marine layer slightly and starting a slight warming and drying trend that lasts into the early work week. Onshore flow increases in the mid week, getting back to the cooler conditions and improving humidities. Note : All winds are 20-foot Winds Unless otherwise specified. Thunderstorms imply strong, gusty and erratic winds. ...Discussion from Los Angeles/Oxnard... ...SEASONABLY ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ACROSS ANTELOPE VALLEY AND ADJACENT FOOTHILLS THROUGH NEXT WEEK DUE TO GUSTY ONSHORE WINDS AND DRY CONDITIONS... An unseasonably deep marine layer will lead to below normal fire concerns for this time of year for coastal and valley areas through this weekend. Gusty northwest to onshore winds will continue through this weekend and be strongest for wind prone areas such as the Antelope Valley and adjacent foothills as well as southwest Santa Barbara County (mainly from Gaviota to San Marcos Pass) with gusts mostly in the 25 to 35 mph range, except isolated gusts to 40 mph near Gaviota and the Antelope Valley foothills. There will be a slight warming and drying trend much of next week, with continued gusty onshore winds across the interior, and weak to locally moderate sundowner winds most evenings across southwest Santa Barbara county. Seasonably elevated risk for grass fire activity will continue across the Antelope Valley through much of next week due to the gusty onshore winds and low humidities. $$ ECC028-261630- Santa Barbara County excluding Los Padres National Forest- Discussion for Santa Barbara ECC Dispatch 325 PM PDT Fri Jul 25 2025 ...SEASONABLY ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ACROSS ANTELOPE VALLEY AND ADJACENT FOOTHILLS THROUGH NEXT WEEK DUE TO GUSTY ONSHORE WINDS AND DRY CONDITIONS...
