...ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ACROSS THE INTERIOR THIS WEEK, AND
SOUTHWEST SANTA BARBARA COUNTY TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY...

.DISCUSSION...
Breezy onshore conditions expected across the interior through the week,
as southwest to west winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 40 mph and isolated
gusts to 50 mph will occur across interior portions, especially across the
Antelope Valley and foothills towards the end of the week. Northwest to
north winds of a similar magnitude are expected in the afternoon through
overnight hours Tuesday and Wednesday across southwest Santa Barbara
County and interior mountains, with strongest winds expected Wednesday.
There will be little change in minimum humidities through the week, with
widespread 10 to 20 percent across the interior and 7 to 10 percent over
the eastern Antelope Valley. Generally moderate overnight recoveries
expected each night, with areas of poor recoveries across far interior
and especially the mountains.

NOTE: Beginning today, Monday June 1, NWS WFO Los Angeles/Oxnard will
enter the fire weather high season operations. This FWF product will be
issued twice daily including weekends. The morning issuance will occur
between 900 and 930 AM and the afternoon product will be issued between
300 and 330 PM. As always, National Weather Service forecasters are
available 24/7 for spot forecast requests and consultation.
