981 FNUS56 KLOX 132225 FWFLOX Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Southwestern California National Weather Service Los Angeles/Oxnard CA 325 PM PDT Mon Oct 13 2025 ...SIGNIFICANT EARLY SEASON STORM TO BRING POTENTIAL FOR SIGNIFICANT FLASH FLOODING/DEBRIS FLOW CONCERNS TO RECENT BURN SCARS AS WELL AS THREAT FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS AND ISOLATED TORNADOES TONIGHT INTO TUESDAY... .DISCUSSION... A significant storm system will likely bring widespread rain and high elevation mountain snow to the region tonight into Tuesday. The latest projections have an increased risk for higher intensity short duration rain rates. This will likely minor/shallow debris flows to the recent burn scars, and even a chance of more significant damaging debris flows. There is also the potential for strong to locally severe thunderstorms that could bring the risk of damaging wind gusts of 60 mph or greater, small hail, and even a threat of isolated tornado activity.
