.DISCUSSION...
Lingering tropical moisture from Marie will bring a chance of showers and
a slight chance of thunderstorms today to portions of LA/Ventura counties.
The chance of showers will continue on Tuesday, potentially extending
northward into portions of San LUis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties.
Rainfall amounts will be quite variable due to the showery nature
of the precipitation. In addition, high surf, dangerous rip currents
and coastal flooding will remain across south facing beaches through
Tuesday. From Wednesday through Friday, there will be a return of hotter
temperatures to the region. There may still be some subtropical moisture
at times during this period, but drier conditions are expected in San Luis
Obispo and Santa Barbara counties where local elevated fire weather
conditions may develop since they received little to no rainfall during
the past 24 hours.
