Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Southwestern California
National Weather Service Los Angeles/Oxnard CA
332 PM PDT Sat Oct 4 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Northwest to north winds are expected to weaken through tonight
(Saturday), with gusts 25 to 35 mph, shifting to a more north-northeast
direction. Sunday and Monday, light offshore northeast winds of 5 to 10
mph with gusts of 10 to 20 mph will impact the interior mountains, with
winds shifting to typically onshore in the afternoons and evenings.
Humidity will remain around 20 to 30 percent across the interior, except
for down to 15 percent for the Antelope Valley. Tuesday, an approaching
low pressure system will likely result in gusty southeasterly winds across
many interior areas, especially the Antelope Valley, Ventura County
Mountains, and Interstate 5 corridor.

Conditions will remain dry through the middle of next week, then a surge
of subtropical moisture will bring a small chance of showers next Friday
or Saturday.
