West to northwest wind gusts of 30 to 50 mph will continue into Tuesday evening in the wind prone areas like the I-5 Corridor, the Antelope Valley, the Central Coast, and southwest Santa Barbara County. A moderate to strong storm system will bring widespread rain Wednesday through Friday. The peak of the storm is on Thursday and Thursday night, when moderate to heavy rain and southerly wind gusts of 40 to 60 mph are expected. There is a moderate to high risk of significant flooding, debris flows, isolated thunderstorms, and wind damage. Dry conditions will likely follow Saturday through at least next week. Gusty north to northeast winds will form around Tuesday of next week, but fire weather risks are minimal with the recent rains.
