...STORM SYSTEM TO AFFECT THE REGION NEXT WEEK TUESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY,
WITH POTENTIALLY HEAVY RAIN...
.DISCUSSION...
Cool with relatively benign conditions will continue through Friday.
Local humidities of 8 to 20 percent are expected through Friday in the
highest mountains, but winds will be light during that time. Northwest
wind gusts of 25 to 45 mph will impact the wind prone areas Friday Night
through Monday, including southwest Santa Barbara County and northern
Los Angeles County. Several hours of light rain are now expected over
San Luis Obispo County and parts of Santa Barbara County Friday Night
through Monday, with Saturday being most prevalent. The previously
expected warm up now looks less pronounced.
High confidence in widespread rain sometime in the Tuesday through
Thursday period, peaking Tuesday morning through Wednesday afternoon.
The latest projections favor moderate amounts with generally minor
impacts, but there is now a low but meaningful potential for heavy
amounts, rates, and more significant flooding and wind impacts.
