GABRIELS AND ANTELOPE VALLEY INCLUDING ADJACENT FOOTHILLS...
.DISCUSSION...
Southwest to northwest winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts of 25 to 40 mph
(locally up to 50 mph) will be common over the interior areas, as well as
southern Santa Barbara County, through Tuesday night. These winds are
slightly stronger than usual. Meanwhile, minimum humidities of 15 to 25
percent will be common over the interior through Monday, with pockets of 8
to 15 percent readings over the eastern San Gabriel mountains and
Antelope Valley. This will lead to seasonable elevated conditions through
Monday, with locally brief critical conditions over the driest and
windiest portions of the eastern San Gabriels and Antelope Valley
including adjacent foothills. On the coastal side of the ranges, a deep
marine layer will persist with patchy light drizzle at times. Significant
warming likely to follow Wednesday through the end of next week, with some
generally weak easterly flow and a shallowing marine layer.
