THUNDERSTORMS FRIDAY AND SATURDAY...
.DISCUSSION...
West to northwest winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph will affect wind
prone areas into this evening, with weaker winds Thursday as they turn
more southerly. More typical southwest to northwest winds will return by
Friday, becoming stronger than normal by Sunday. Temperatures will
increase steadily over the interior through Friday or Saturday then change
little into early next week. For the coastal and valley areas,
temperatures will peak today with slight cooling into the weekend.
Meanwhile, minimum humidities of 15 to 25 percent will remain common over
the interior, with pockets of 5 to 15 percent readings over the higher
peaks and drier valleys. This will lead to seasonable elevated conditions.
There will be a tropical moisture surge on Friday and Saturday, but most
of the moisture will stay to the south, resulting in a 5 to 10% chance of
showers and thunderstorms to our area, highest over the mountains.
