129 FNUS56 KLOX 062226 FWFLOX Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Southwestern California National Weather Service Los Angeles/Oxnard CA 326 PM PDT Tue May 6 2025 .DISCUSSION... There is 5 percent chance of showers across the mountains of the Ventura County Mountains and the San Gabriel Mountains, this afternoon into tonight. Otherwise dry conditions are expected this week into the weekend. Onshore flow is expected each day, however weakening tomorrow through Friday. This afternoon and evening, southwesterly winds will continue across the Antelope Valley and foothills, with gusts of 25 to 35 mph (locally up to 45 mph). Minimum humidities will remain elevated today, except for 25 to 35 percent across the Antelope Valley and far interior mountains and valleys of San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties. Tomorrow, a ridge of high pressure will begin building over the region, and temperatures will trend noticeably upwards. Humidites will dry out tomorrow into the weekend. Expect widespread humidities in the 25 to 35 percent range, with 10 to 20 percent across the Antelope Valley and foothills. Onshore winds across the Antelope Valley and foothills will range from around 20 to 30 mph Wednesday through Friday, and then are expected to increase for the weekend. Friday and Saturday appear to be the hottest days, where daytime highs in the mid 80s through mid 90s will be widespread across inland areas.
