...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM PDT THIS AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A small portion of northeastern Los Angeles County in
southwestern California...
* WHEN...Until 500 PM PDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rock
slides and mud slides will be possible.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 343 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Rock slides and mud slides will be
possible.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Pearblossom, Llano, Valyermo and Highway 138 between Llano and
the San Bernardino County line.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
