.Synopsis for the southern California coast and Santa Barbara
Channel including the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary
and National Park...at 21Z, or 1 PM PST, a 1019 mb surface high was
located 200 miles southwest of San Francisco, and a 1016 mb surface
low was located 100 miles southwest of Los Angeles. Gusty southeast
to south winds and choppy seas will subside later today, with
additional moderate to strong south winds shifting to the northwest
between Thursday and Friday as a frontal system affects the local
area.
