For the following areas...

  Nearshore Waters from Winthrop Harbor to Calumet Harbor...
  Nearshore Waters from Calumet Harbor to Michigan City...
  Open Waters from Winthrop Harbor to Michigan City out to Mid
Lake...

At 509 PM CDT, numerous thunderstorms were moving across
southwestern Lake Michigan. Additional thunderstorms were moving
offshore from northeastern Illinois. All storms are moving eastward
at around 25 knots, and may produce wind gusts in excess of 34
knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
         suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include...
Harrison-Dever Crib, Calumet Harbor, Marina Shores at Dune Harbor,
Michigan City, 59th Street Marina, Hammond Marina, Wilmette Harbor,
Indiana Harbor, Jackson Park Harbor, Burns Harbor, and DuSable
Harbor.

Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are
expected.
