A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas...

  Open Waters from Wilmette Harbor to Michigan City out to Mid
Lake...

At 1127 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a gust front, capable of
producing winds to around 30 knots. This gust front was located along
a line extending from near Harrison-Dever Crib to 14 nm north of
Burns Harbor to New Buffalo, moving south at 30 knots. The Cook
Nuclear Plant Buoyt near Stevensville, MI recorded a 35 kt gust with
this outflow.

Harrison-Dever Crib, Burnham Harbor, Hammond Marina, Jackson Park
Harbor, 31st Street Harbor, Monroe Harbor, Burns Harbor, Belmont
Harbor, Calumet Harbor, Marina Shores at Dune Harbor, 59th Street
Marina, and Indiana Harbor.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.
