Any storm that develops may produce hail. The threat of a thunderstorm at any given location is only 10 to 15 percent, so most areas will remain dry. Dense fog will continue spreading inland off Lake Michigan overnight, especially in Lake and northern Cook counties in northeastern Illinois. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday. Thursday... Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated: Level 3 of 5 Severe Thunderstorm Risk. Elevated Fire Weather Risk. Friday... Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated: Level 1 of 5 Severe Thunderstorm Risk. Significant Fire Weather Risk. Tuesday... Limited Thunderstorm Risk. DISCUSSION... Isolated to scattered severe thunderstorms are expected to develop Friday afternoon across northeastern Illinois and northwestern Indiana, mainly east of Interstate 39. Any storm that develops may produce destructive winds and hail, as well as a tornado. Late Thursday afternoon into the early evening, elevated fire danger may develop mainly along and west of Interstate 39. On Friday, critical fire danger may develop areawide.
