.DISCUSSION...
Dry conditions are expected through the morning hours. An area of
showers with some embedded thunderstorms over far eastern Iowa as
of 8 AM is expected to slowly decay with eastward extent across
northern Illinois this morning. Isolated showers may persist to
the burn site early in the afternoon, though most activity should
have dissipated by this time. A second area of scattered showers
with possibly a thunderstorm is expected to develop over southeast
Iowa early this afternoon and track over the burn site toward
sunset into mid-evening. These showers could produce wind gusts
over 40 mph.

Otherwise, plan on partly to mostly cloudy skies, particularly
with the decaying showers in the afternoon. Southeast winds 5 to
10 mph early this morning will gradually veer south-southwest
while increasing with gusts to around 20 mph mid to late
afternoon. A lake breeze will likely develop just offshore of the
Indiana shore this afternoon, but is expected to remain several
miles north of the burn site given the stronger opposing flow.

Minimum RH values will reach around 40 percent, though reduced
mixing and slightly higher RH values cannot be ruled out this
afternoon if showers and associated cloud cover are slower to
decay than currently forecast.
