.DISCUSSION...
Seasonable temperatures are expected again tomorrow. Light lake
effect rain showers may be observed in portions of the Chicago
metro tomorrow, but otherwise, most locations outside of the metro
should not see any precipitation. Modest onshore flow tomorrow will
keep mixing heights lower near the lakeshore compared to locations
farther inland.
Temperatures will gradually warm up into Monday before another
weakening cold front moves across the area, bringing in temperatures
that should generally remain near climatological normals for
mid-October for the remainder of the work week. There is a low chance
that this front could be accompanied by a period of decaying showers
or sprinkles in parts of northern Illinois, but a wetting rainfall is
not likely for most locations.
