Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Northern IL and Northwest IN
National Weather Service Chicago/Romeoville IL
336 PM CDT Sat Apr 19 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Light winds will continue through the night under cloudy skies as
overnight lows drop to the mid to upper 40s south of Interstate
88, and low 40s to the north and near the Lake Michigan shoreline.

Another weather system is expected to move into the area on
Sunday and bring with it more chances for rain. While the daytime
hours on Sunday will likely have some dry periods, more
widespread showers and thunderstorms will move into the area
Sunday night into Monday morning. As rain tapers on Monday, winds
will become gusty out of the northwest with gusts in the 35-40 mph
range.

Temperatures will warm into the 60s and 70s away from the lake
next week. The are a couple of low chances (20-40 percent) for
periods of showers and maybe some storms next week. There is lower
confidence on the exact timing of the showers and overall looks
as though there could be more dry periods than rainy through the
week.
