Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Northern IL and Northwest IN
National Weather Service Chicago/Romeoville IL
1039 AM CDT Wed Mar 12 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Seasonably mild conditions are expected today with highs in the
upper 50s to upper 60s, though areas near the lake will remain in
the mid-40s to around 50. Therefore, expect RH values this
afternoon to be in the 30-40% range with otherwise light east-
northeast winds around 5 to 10 mph. Thursday will see similar
conditions but with slightly warmer temperatures and RH`s in the
30-35% range.

A powerful storm system will result in very strong southerly
winds and unseasonably warm temperatures Friday. A quick shot of
showers and thunderstorms is likely Friday night. While a shower
cannot be totally ruled out, Saturday should be mostly dry and
extremely windy.
