.DISCUSSION...
Today will be another hot one away from the lake with high
temperatures in the middle 80s to lower 90s. Near and south of the
Illinois and Kankakee rivers, afternoon heat indices are between
100 and 105F are expected while 90s are anticipated across inland
areas farther north. Conditions will be notably cooler near the
lakeshore. Expect marginally breezy north winds today at 10 to 20
mph.
Relatively cooler, but still seasonably warm, weather is in store
for Sunday and Monday with highs in the lower 80s. Upper 80s and
lower 90s are favored to return for the middle of next week, as
are chances for rain.
