...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 1030 AM CDT TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Portions of north central and northeast Illinois,
  including the following counties, in north central Illinois, De
  Kalb, La Salle and Lee. In northeast Illinois, Kane and Kendall.

* WHEN...Until 1030 AM CDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding
  may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Roads and streets may
  be flooded. Slow moving or standing water may continue.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1138 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicate that between 4 and 7 inches of rain fell earlier
    this evening. It will take time for the floodwater to recede.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Sandwich, Mendota, Amboy, Sheridan, Shabbona, Lake Holiday,
    Hinckley, Somonauk, Earlville, Waterman, Serena, Leland, Paw
    Paw, Sublette, Woodhaven Lakes, Millington, Lee, Compton,
    Troy Grove and West Brooklyn.

A Flood Warning means flooding is imminent or may already be
occurring. Persons along rivers, creeks, and other waterways should
take immediate precautions to protect life and property.
