The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northern Iroquois County in east central Illinois...
  Northeastern Grundy County in northeastern Illinois...
  Kankakee County in northeastern Illinois...
  Southern Kendall County in northeastern Illinois...
  Southwestern Will County in northeastern Illinois...

* Until 715 AM CDT.

* At 420 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  torrential rainfall across much of the warned area. Between 1 and
  2 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 2 to 3
  inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
  to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Rapid-onset flooding of creeks, streams, drainage
           ditches, streets, underpasses, low-lying areas, and
           other poor drainage areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Kankakee, Bourbonnais, Bradley, Morris, Channahon, Minooka,
  Manteno, Braidwood, Wilmington, Coal City, Momence, Herscher,
  Clifton, Shorewood, Diamond, Elwood, Limestone and Gardner.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Warning means rapid-onset flooding is imminent or may
already be occurring. Persons along creeks, drainage ditches, and
other waterways should take immediate precautions to protect life
and property.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
