Hydrologic Outlook
National Weather Service Chicago IL

...MULTIPLE ROUNDS OF RAINFALL MAY LEAD TO LOCALIZED FLOODING THROUGH
SATURDAY...

A slow moving weather system will bring widespread showers, some
heavy, to the area through Saturday. Rainfall may cause ponding in
poor drainage areas, rises on area streams, and localized flooding.
The most likely areas for flooding include urban areas and areas that
received rainfall earlier this week.

Conditions will be favorable for rainfall rates in excess of 1 inch
per hour in isolated areas. The exact locations expected to receive
the heaviest rainfall remains uncertain at this time.

This outlook means that elevated water levels and potential impacts
are possible, but not yet certain. Persons should closely monitor
forecasts including the possibility of flood watches, warnings, and
advisories.
