For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Ontario

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...A 30.4 inch high will build across the Great Lakes
region today A pair of surface lows will track across the region
Thursday and Friday. A 30.4 inch surface high will briefly pass
over the lake on Saturday. A 29.5 inch surface low will track
from the Ohio Valley and across or just south of the lake
Saturday night into Sunday.

...GALE WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY EVENING THROUGH FRIDAY
AFTERNOON...

.TODAY...Northwest winds 5 to 10 knots becoming west. Waves
2 feet or less.
.TONIGHT...South winds less than 10 knots becoming southeast and
increasing to 15 to 20 knots after midnight. A chance of snow
late. Waves 1 foot or less building to 3 to 5 feet.
.THURSDAY...East winds 15 to 20 knots becoming southwest and
increasing to 30 knots. Snow in the morning, then snow, sleet
likely with a chance of rain in the afternoon. Waves 3 to 5 feet
building to 3 to 6 feet.
.THURSDAY NIGHT...Southwest winds to 30 knots becoming west and
increasing to 40 knot gales overnight. A chance of snow and rain
showers overnight. Waves 7 to 10 feet building to 13 to 18 feet.
Waves occasionally around 23 feet.
.FRIDAY...West gales to 35 knots diminishing to 15 to 20 knots.
Snow showers likely during the day. Waves 13 to 17 feet subsiding
to 3 to 6 feet. Waves occasionally around 22 feet.
.SATURDAY...Southwest winds 5 to 10 knots becoming northeast and
increasing to 15 to 20 knots. A chance of snow during the day,
then snow Saturday night. Waves 1 to 3 feet building to 3 to
6 feet.
.SUNDAY...Northwest winds 15 to 20 knots becoming west 10 to
15 knots. A chance of snow showers. Waves 3 to 6 feet subsiding
to 2 to 4 feet.
