117 FZUS61 KBUF 170801 GLFLO Open Lake Forecast for Lake Ontario National Weather Service Buffalo NY 401 AM EDT Sat May 17 2025 For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Ontario Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS...A 29.0 inch low over the western Great Lakes will weaken to 29.3 inches this morning as it lifts to areas north of the Great Lakes. This low will then cross southern Ontario Canada and enter into central Quebec Sunday. The lake will then be on the southern periphery of a large 30.6 inch ridge centered over the Hudson Bay on Monday. A 29.5 inch low will track from the central Plains Tuesday to the Ohio Valley by Wednesday.
